Gentrification in Sunset Park Workshop

At our recent Gentrification in Sunset Park workshop, our volunteer youth explored what gentrification means, its impact on our neighborhood, and shared their personal experiences with the changes they’ve seen. It was an eye-opening discussion about our community’s history and future.

Turkey Distribution

Thanksgiving is a time to express gratitude, and we are incredibly thankful to Councilmember Alexa Avilés (NYC Council District 38) for her generosity. Thanks to her support, we were able to distribute turkeys to single-parent households, families facing hardships, and hardworking volunteers in our community.

Thanksgiving Clothing Drive

Thank you to our wonderful community for donating winter clothes at our Thanksgiving Clothing Drive! These will go to those in need, spreading warmth and kindness this season. We’re overjoyed by the generosity and heart of our community!

The Daffodil Project’s 7th Anniversary

This year marks the 7th year participating in The Daffodil Project - a living memorial to honor the victims of September 11. We're proud to join together as a community. These bulbs will blossom beautifully in the spring. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to enjoying the daffodils in a few months!

Join us every weekend for some family-friendly arts & crafts. This Thanksgiving, we're making adorable turkey headbands- perfect for the holiday spirit.

Park Cleanups

Volunteers found time during their weekends to volunteer in Sunset Park, Leif Ericson Park, and Mickinley Park. They came together to keep our community clean and beautiful.
