Holiday party Volunteer
On December 27th, PCR teamed up with the people of YMCA University of Settlement- Houston Street Center to provide a holiday party for the Special Education kids. In the beginning, the volunteers were instructed to help the organization set up and decorate their gymnasium in order to make it look appealing and festive. As the event was about to begin, the volunteers were separated into different sections: face-painting, temporary tattoos, bean bag toss, and etc. There were many different performances including a magic show and several dances. It was an exciting and rewarding experience for both the volunteers and the children. The children were very happy and the volunteers were able to gain the experience of working with Special Education kids. At the end of the event, volunteers helped clean up as the children happily left with their parents.
