Sunset Park Leader

Looking for a Sunset Park Clean-up leader on Sundays from 10 AM - 12 PM.

Duties Includes:

a. Organize and lead park activities, events, and programs.
b. Ensure the safety and well-being of park attendees.
c. Maintain the cleanliness and order of the park facilities.
d. Report any safety hazards or issues to the PCR promptly.
e. Assist park visitors and provide information about park rules and regulations.
f. Collaborate with other Park Leaders and PCR staff as needed.
g. Attend regular meetings and training sessions as required by the PCR.
h. Input hours for Park Cleanup Attendees
i. All other duties assigned by PCR

Description:

PCR will provide Metro cards to the Park Leader to commute to and from their duties as a Park Leader and, if applicable, as an intern. If the Park Leader fulfills their obligations, they should be prioritized to receive their recommendation letter and future leadership roles.

The Park Leader agrees to serve a minimum term of three (3) months. 

PCR Community Research Collaborative

Join the PCRC (PCR Community Research Collaborative)  Program, a six week initiative designed to empower you! Participate in identifying and researching community issues, enhancing your problem- solving, teamwork, communication and public speaking skills.

As summer break is approaching, we are gearing up to introduce various diverse summer programs for the children. If you are interested in taking the initiative and serving as a project leader, please don't hesitate to contact me. This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance your skills and gain leadership experience.

Program Coordinator Assistant

Duties Include:

1. Tasks Organization

   a. Assist in planning and execution of projects and events

   b. Track project timelines & deadlines

   c. Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed

2. Draft, edit, proofread documents, reports, presentations

3. Conduct research on various topics as needed by the coordinator

4. Support coordinator in resolving project-related challenges

Examples of projects:

- Website (Design and updates)

- Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Discord, Tiktok, Twitter, Youtube)

- Educational Program (After-school Program and Summer School)

- Videos (iMovie)

- Flyers (Canva)

Skills:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing details and ensuring accuracy

  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge in office software, such as Google Workspace (e.g. Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive), video-editing

    • Training included

  • Language Skills:

    • Fluency in English

    • Fluency in Mandarin (Spoken and typed)

 

Requires:

- Resume

- Active PCR volunteer

- Recommendation from at least one PCR group leaders, coordinators, or directors

- Participation for 6 months

- Notification of at least 1 month before leaving position

  • Failing to do so may result in

    • Ineligibility in future volunteer opportunities with PCR

    • Ineligibility for special recognition or letter of recommendation

Requirements:

- Be able to speak English and Chinese

- Responsible and punctual

- Able to work in teams and follow directions clearly

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Able to meet deadlines

- Commitment of 6 months
